High Volume of Kidney Transplants Performed Every Year at Tampa General Hospital
Few transplant centers in the region perform as many kidney transplants each year as Tampa General Hospital. In fact, TGH is among one of the busiest transplant centers in the region.
While a high volume of kidney transplants are performed each year in TGH¡¯s Kidney Transplant Program, the average time to transplant for patients on the waiting list is historically among the shortest in the nation, per data released by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR). This achievement is reflective of the dynamic and successful partnership TGH has with the nationally recognized organ procurement organization,?.
