Day one of New Employee Orientation (NEO) introduces our newest team members to the vibrant, patient-centered culture of Tampa General Hospital. The intent of day one of NEO is for our new employees to learn who we are as an organization, our culture, and strategies for success as new team members.?
New team members complete the full day of on-boarding activities,?beginning with an introduction to members of our Senior Executive Team (SET).???Our President & CEO, John Couris,?and Chief?Human Resources' Officer and Acting?Executive Vice President, Chris Roederer,?begin the day introducing our organization's values,?mission, vision,?achievements,?current projects, and employee engagement.?
New team members?then?fully engage in the exploration of the Tampa General Hospital's Core Value:?We Put Patients First in All We Do, as well as the supporting values of?integrity,?compassion,?accountability, and?excellence.??
In addition, new team members?learn key human resources' policies & procedures, information technology access information (login information,?the TGH Employee Portal, Mindlab, etc.), and general hospital information.?
Time is dedicated for new team members to?learn and demonstrate best practices in communication,?customer service, patient satisfaction?and hand hygiene??with the intent of providing a?safe, world-class experience for our patients, guests,?visitors and partners.?
The day concludes with a meet-and-greet with new team members' managers and/or department representatives.? ?
